I've pretty much stopped reading ST reboot K/S because I can't stand seeing Uhura sidelined. Even the authors who handle it well are tainted by association for me. Fortunately, I have solved this problem by reading Kirk/McCoy instead!
And I really want Holmes/Mary/Watson, but fandom's unfortunate patterns probably nix that. I do like Katie Forsythe's Holmes/Watson fic, since a lot of it takes place before Watson gets married. It's my happy place for Holmes/Watson.
