I keep seeing people doing the 21 Days for DW meme, but no one links to the actual meme. >_< So I'm sticking it here for my own reference. And now I have a whole bunch of days to catch up on, so I guess I'll do that, too.

21 days for Dreamwidth )

1. Why did you sign up for Dreamwidth? )
2. Why did you choose your journal name? )
3. Do you crosspost? )
4. What do you do online when you're not on DW? )
5. And when you're not on your computer? )

There's that meme going around:

Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Give a small description of what's inside, and provide snippets on request!

I'm really bad at "small descriptions." I think I like talking about my writing more than I like actually writing. >_>

my filenames are actually pretty boring; Assassin's Creed for the most part )

Hey, you know what I did in 2010? I read some books! This may not seem like that big of a deal, but since I've been reading less and less every year more or less since graduating high school, it's a big deal to me.

The books of 2010 )

The other thing I did in 2010 (I mean apart from all the other stuff, but whatever) was write fanfic. So, here's a meme I've seen floating around and about varying places:

I think I like writing about my writing more than I like actually writing my writing, and if I repeat the word "writing" a few more times, it's going cease to mean anything at all. Sort of like if you say "moot" too many times in a row. Or "penis."

Some navel gazing on stories I've written, thoughts on kink, consent issues in fanfic, noncon and dubcon, uncontrolled subtext, a bit of tmi. )

In slightly related news, [community profile] kink_bingo starts tomorrow! I'm really excited, for all that I've been completely unable to string any words together for a bit over a week now- I've been having a rough week in general, though, so hopefully now that it's over, things will get better. I've never participated in this sort of challenge before, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.
