-did my exercises TWICE! Yeah! And flossed, scooped litter, prepped the coffee.

-I keep undoing the macrame curtain in the kitchen because I don't like how it hangs; I think it really needs another set of cords on each side, but I don't really want to buy another $12 roll of cord. I'm still so annoyed that the Avon Michael's didn't have 3mm.

-I want to make a million more plant hangers, though. I should have enough cord to make some small ones for the heavier pots, I think. Maybe I'll get some shower curtain hangers so I can easily hang them off the curtain rod in the kitchen. I should get the rest of those screws in first, though.

-Made the appointment for my car. Don't really wanna think about how much that's gonna cost when it's done, but it needs to get done. It's funny; I've had the car for almost 5 years now, and I've put maybe half as many miles on it as I did my old car. Work from home is a miraculous thing; I'd replaced all my tires and brakes pre-covid.

-Nearly through The Left Hand of Darkness; I appreciate it for what it is, but man. We've come a long, long way, haven't we.

Pitt finale thoughts!

-Season finale of The Pitt was hot garbage! Holy shit! Presenting Robby as always correct when he's dealing with women of color is just so, so gross. The treatment of Al Hashimi is just awful. "what if there's multiple critical patients" well gee Robby how good are *you* at being in two places at once? Come the fuck on.

No resolution to Mohan's story whatsoever. No acknowledgement that Robby was out of line. Someone on Tumblr pointed out that she and Javadi had the same mommy issue arc this season and it's true and absolutely gross. There's some really good stories that could be told about southeast Asian women and their families and the expectations placed on them, but the show just didn't want to engage with that at *all*. Deeply disappointing.

It's funny, the weekly episode format should've made the hammering of Robby's trauma and loss of control feel more grounded, but instead it just got repetetive; the focus was just on him and how of course the ED needs him and he has to come back and etc etc etc, and the only character who gets to call him out without it being thrown back in their face is Langdon. The white guy. Dana has to apologize because of Robby's mommy issues; Al Hashimi is compromised by her seizure disorder. (How fucking absurd is it for her to disclose that to Robby, who has been treating her and the residents like garbage all day? There's no way. Not when he's supposed to be leaving the next day; come the fuck on. You don't get to claim it's not reasonable to conclude Some of these stories in a single shift while pulling *that*. Ugh.)

Digby getting turned into a joke at the end was...funny, yes, but it does feel like a disservice to his character. Makes sense that he and Louie were close if he knew so much about fireworks.

Whitaker suggesting emergency psych to Javadi also feels gross; why does she need a white man to tell her what she's good at. Ugh. Ugh! And if her parents think emergency medicine is worthless, they'll think even less of psychiatry. Not a good path for her character, honestly.

Am I still going to watch the next season? Yeah, probably. But they'd better get more women of color in the writers room.
