Spoilers for tonight's episode! Man, I totally need an *anguish hands* icon.
I was all set to be really pleased with Ellie in this episode until she told Chuck he wasn't going far enough to win Sarah back. I mean, entirely apart from the fact that the Chuck/Sarah thing has been overdone since the middle of last season, I have no words for how much I fucking hate that trope. True love means the woman can't make a choice for herself! The man has to fight to win her back, because obviously she's just suffering from poor judgment! Putting her in lockdown so you can save her boyfriend to show how much you care about her is totally not creepy, patronizing, and disgusting!
Okay, that last is more specific to Chuck, but the general plot of the man "trying harder" to win back the woman disgusts me so much. People don't work like that. And the fact that I can safely predict that, by the end of this episode, Sarah will not punch Chuck in the face for treating her like an infant is just- so infuriating.
Lester as "the Picasso of creepiness" is hilarious in a *lolsob* sort of way. Saving the day with skeeziness!
Also, Chuck may be determined not to kill people directly, but anyone who was unconscious in that warehouse due to his tranquilizers is certainly dead now.
My copy of Cyclonopedia: Complicity with Anonymous Materials has been ordered! *excitement*
