NaDaMaStuMo Day 4

I got a little bit carried away today. Two pieces! (Technically three but I forgot to photograph one of them so it'll get put up later.) One of which is a necklace! I've never successfully made a necklace before!

the tide beneath the tree

Sterling silver, glass, and garnet; I love those garnets so much, they remind me of pomegranate seeds. Unfortunately, most of the ones I've got have such tiny holes that I can't do a whole lot with them- I already lost one trying to use my bead reamer on it. I'm dreadfully fond of these earrings; this is one of my more successful pieces, I think.

Autumn and Over Again

ZOMG A NECKLACE. LOOK AT THOSE BEADED LINKS. LOOOOOOOK AT THEEEEEEM. *cough* Okay, so it's really exciting for me; this is the biggest thing I've finished. Mostly glass, with a few odds and ends like pieces of (I think) moakite, elephant skin jasper, and some sort of hematite flecked red stone that I adore, but only had the two pieces of. 21 inches long, with a toggle clasp, on copper wire. I am stupidly proud of this thing.

I need to find a better photography set up; right now I'm relying on a single full spectrum lamp that shines at a really awkward angle for picture taking. It's certainly better than the alternative, which would be relying on the insufficient incandescent lights around my worktable, but I'm not exactly pleased with any of the pictures I've taken this month. I'll have to do proper pictures of things at the end of the month, I guess. Photography has never been my strong suit, so this, too, is a learning experience.
