Somebody remind me why I thought it was a good idea to take three language classes?

*sigh* I need to email the department chair to see about fulfilling my senior seminar requirement; there is, of course, only one senior seminar offered this semester, and it is with a professor I hate, and due to the scheduling up-fuckery that has plagued my tenure as a student at this ridiculous institution, I was unable to register for it before it closed.

But right now I'm signed up for the following:

Elementary Hebrew 1
Intermediate Arabic 2
Intermediate Persian 2
Islamic Law and Jurisprudence
Modern Persian Literature

And I just shifted the timeslot for Hebrew because I don't want to take an 8:10 class on a campus I have to ride the bus to get to. I'm entirely capable of leaving the house at 7 to get somewhere, but I really shouldn't do that unless I absolutely have to. And I don't! So I won't.

If I can't make my law and jurisprudence class fill the senior seminar requirement, I'll have to elbow my way into Women's Movements in the Middle East, which would be right up my alley apart from my dislike of the professor. And then I'll have to drop something- either Persian lit or Hebrew- because the university won't let me take more than 20.5 credits, and all those language classes are 4 credits each.

There's really no reason whatsoever for me to take Hebrew, but I want to, and I'm at the point where I can more or less sleep through an introductory language class and still ace everything, particularly here, where all of the classes are jokes. So tacking it on as my fifth class this semester shouldn't be that big of a deal. And it means my Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday schedule is just language classes straight through, from 9-5. This amuses me.

Of course, it will be hilarious when it gets to be May and the school of continuing/non-traditional students tells me I have too many credits and I didn't fulfill my elective requirements and I can't graduate. And by "hilarious," I mean "entirely unsurprising" and also "uuuugggghhhhh."

That last one sums up my general feelings on everything these days.
